Yes, that. Also I’ve seen people suggest that during the last writers strike, some people have jumped at this ‘opportunity’ to get their non-union screenplay realized, but it was completely forgotten and production canned the moment strike ended.
To some degree, this is designed less as an actual project, and more as a leverage to use against union writers - “look, we’ve got a ton of non-union projects! We don’t need you!” So they don’t actually care about your IP/pitch/screenplay.
So don’t cross the picket line and don’t be a fool. Support the strike.
